STX Europe’s yard in Florø is a well established shipyard with a long and proud history. The business started out in 1949 and in the last decades the business is recognized as a shipyard producing a high number of chemical and juice tankers to a worldwide market. In 2010, STX Europe in Florø made a strategic move and accelerated within the market for maintenance of ship and oilrigs. We also offer production of steel constructions of any kind.
We have performed services for the whole range of ships, from offshore- and specialized vessels to tankers, cargo vessels, ferries and coastal vessels. We also have good facilities for maintenance of rigs and subsea installations. The yard is close to the North Sea, and our next-door neighbor, Fjord Base, is a key player for logistic services to the offshore industry. Our strength is the yards capacity on steel production. We have excellent facilities and all the equipment that are needed, such as: water plasma, gas cutting, hydraulic presses, pipe bending machines, advanced welding equipment and overhead cranes. The yard also has huge lifting and transport capacity.
