A portfolio of success
As the in-house design team for STX Europe, we were engaged in the development of some of the most high-profile ships to grace the world's oceans. Not least among them was the Queen Mary 2, built in Saint-Nazaire, which offers an unforgettable cruise ship experience to thousands of demanding passengers every year.
Our breadth of experience over the years has given us the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects. As well as cruise ships we were involved in a wide variety of other craft, from RoPax vessels, high-speed ferries and LNG carriers, to seismic research vessels and even yachts.
Since the roll-out of STX France Solution SAS as an independent design company in mid-2007 we have continued our involvement in cutting-edge large and small projects. We have been awarded a number of contracts on turnkey areas of a Norwegian Cruise Line cruise ship. In addition we have signed a contract to make detail design for the deck outfitting and hull of Stena's RoPax55 vessel to be built at Germany. Furthermore, we have a contract to develop detailed hull designs for the Oasis cruise ships being built in Finland. Under construction for Royal Caribbean, the two ships will be the largest liners ever built and will require many tens of thousands of design drawings prior to completion in 2009 and 2010.
