STX Europe's French yards - STX France Cruise SA, is part of the Cruise & Ferries business area. The French company includes two shipyards in Saint-Nazaire and Lorient, as well as three subsidiaries, STX France Cabins SAS, STX France Solutions SAS and STX France LNG Technology SAS.
The shipyards in Saint-Nazaire and Lorient offer a wide range of high-added value vessels ranging from 30 to 300+ metres long.
The yard in Saint-Nazaire is capable to build post-panama size vessels, while Lorient is specialized in smaller-size ships.
The orderbook of STX France Cruise SA includes 10 vessels to be delivered between 2009 and 2012:

- Three 600 passengers LNG coastal ferries. These ferries are dedicated to link Oslo and the peninsula of Nesodden (Norway). All three ferries are currrently built in the Lorient yard, and will be delivered in the first half of 2009. They will start operating in July 2009. These vessels will use environmental friendly LNG propulsion, a technology in which STX Europe has a strong track record.
- One Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV70) for RAIDCO Marine International to be delivered on fourth semester 2010. This vessel is also built in Lorient, and is the first of a four sistership project to be delivered between 2009 and 2012.
