The vessel is specially designed and equipped for rapid response rescue in case of oil recovery, fire fighting, emergency towing and recovery of personnel in connection with accidents along the coast and on offshore installations.
The vessel is designed with a high focus on good sea-keeping abilities, good station keeping performances and high speed. The new hull shape improves performance in all weather conditions, as well as improve fuel economy.
The vessel is environmentally friendly with focus on low fuel consumption and emissions. Gas- and diesel fuelled engines are combined in a hybrid propulsion system providing lowest possible consumption in the various operating modes. DNV's CLEAN DESIGN requirements are incorporated in the design and diesel engines are equipped with catalyst system. A high standard, low noise level accommodation to be provided.
