Aker Yards Germany
The shipyards in Wismar and Rostock-Warnemünde (Germany) have joined their capacities and know-how starting in 2002 following a restructuring process of the shipbuilding activities of Aker. The flexibility has been increased and synergies have been implemented in order to secure international competitiveness.
After the complete reconstruction in the 1990ies, the shipyards in Wismar and Rostock-Warnemünde have become two of the most modern and effective shipyards in Europe as well as worldwide. Their know-how and experience in developing, engineering and fabrication of modern vessels as well as their quality management system certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 make the two yards reliable partners for ship newbuildings. The highly qualified staff at the two sites is well trained and has also experience in floating units with offshore standard.
