Aker Brattvaag AS, a company in the Aker Yards Group, has signed a contract with REM Offshore AS, for the building of a Platform Supply Vessel. The contract value is approximately NOK 125 million. The vessel is scheduled for delivery from Brattvaag Skipsverft AS in December 2005.
The vessel will have the designation UT 755 LN, designed by Rolls-Royce Marine, which will also be a major supplier of equipment to the project. The vessel will have a length of 73.60 meters and deadweight shall be 3250 tons.
Aker Brattvaag delivered the hull to the present seismic vessel "Geo Angler" in 1997, and also the factory trawler "Pacific Pride" to the same owner in November 1997.
