Aker Brattvaag, a company in the Aker Yards Group, has signed a contract with an international shipping company for the building of a Platform Supply Vessel. The contract is worth approximately NOK 120 million. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in September 2005 from Brattvaag Skipsverft AS.
The vessel has the designation UT 755 L, an extended version of the well-respected UT 755 design by Rolls-Royce, which will also be a major supplier of equipment to the project
The vessel will be 72 meters long, and 16 meters wide, and will have a maximum cargo capacity of 3 300 tonnes.
The hull will be built by Aker Tulcea in Romania.
