WISMAR / ROSTOCK-WARNEMÜNDE: At the Wismar site of Aker Yards Germany the seventh in a series of eight container ships of the type Aker CS 2700 ordered by the Hamburg based fund initiator König & Cie. GmbH & Co. KG. was named on Monday, 21 April. Yard number 152 got the name STX MUMBAI by Bae Dan, spouse of Kang Duk Soo, Chairman of STX Group. Delivery of the vessel to König & Cie. is scheduled for end of April. Afterwards it will be taken over by STX Pan Ocean.
König & Cie. ordered a total of eight vessels of the type Aker CS 2700 and four vessels of the type Aker CS 1700 in 2005 for delivery in 2007 and 2008.
