Aker Yards has been awarded a contract worth approximately NOK 270 million by Olympic Shipping AS to build an AHTS vessel of the UT 712 L type.
Delivery from Aker Brattvaags' Søviknes Verft is scheduled for July 2006. The vessel will be approximately 78 meters long, with a beam of 17.2 meters, a continuous bollard pull of approximately 200 tonnes and accommodation capacity for 28 persons.
Mr Roy Reite, responsible for the Offshore & Specialized Vessel business area in Aker Yards ASA states in a comment: "This contract confirms our long and good relationship with Olympic Shipping AS, and also our good and innovative relationship with the design company Rolls-Royce Marine".
