Aker Brevik AS, a company in the Aker Yards Group, has been awarded a contract by Olympic Kombiskip KS, in Fosnavåg, Norway, to deliver a platform supply vessel of the UT 755LN type. The contract is worth approximately NOK 125 million.
Aker Yards has in total built 54 ships of the UT-755 type, and has in addition 10 ships of this type in order. This is the seventh contract between the Olympic Shipping group and Aker Yards. Aker Brevik AS will deliver five ships of this type in 2005.
The hull for the ship will be built at Aker Brevik's subsidiary in Romania, Aker Braila, and the delivery of the vessel is scheduled for mid- September 2005.
Five other ship projects and three process modules now comprises the order backlog at Brevik Construction AS.The platform supply vessel will be Brevik Construction AS newbuilding no. 39.
