Aker Brattvaag AS, a company in the Aker Yards Group, has been awarded a contract worth approximately NOK 225 million by Olympic Shipping AS to build a Platform Supply Vessel of the MT 6016 type.
Delivery from Brattvaag Skipsverft is scheduled for March 2006. The vessel will be approx. 93 meters long, with a beam of 19.70 meters, dead-weight of 4 700 tons and accommodation capacity for 50 persons. The vessel is prepared for operation in the Barents Sea, with DnV notifications as DEICE C, Oil Rec and Stby. In addition the vessel is prepared for helideck, 100 tons crane and 150 tons A-frame.
Mr Roy Reite, responsible for the Offshore Service Vessel business area in Aker Yards ASA states in a comment: " This contract confirms our long and good relationship with Olympic Shipping AS, and also our good relationship with the design company Marin Teknikk".
